For March 8th, Dior asked Bárbara Cerro to share her interpretation of femininity in the world of animation, a project that reflects her own personal experience and shows the contemporary representations of women in society.
Para el 8 de marzo, Dior convocó a Bárbara Cerro para que comparta su interpretación de la femineidad en el mundo de la animación, un proyecto que refleja su propia experiencia personal y a su vez destaca la representación contemporánea de las mujeres en la sociedad.
- Director´s Biography / Biografía del Director:
BÁRBARA CERRO
Bárbara is an Argentinian independent filmmaker and an animation director. Her alma mater is UBA, she graduated as an Image and Sound Designer. She also studied Documentary Filmmaking at UBA and different multimedia design courses. Her works toured many festivals around the world, like Berlinale, Ottawa International Animation Festival and Premios Quirino. Currently, she is developing an animated short film, an animated series and projects that involve new technologies, VR and videogames. She is also the director and founder of the Bit Bang Animation, Video Games and Digital Art Festival, which takes place in Buenos Aires, since 2015.
Bárbara es directora de cine de animación y de cine independiente. Su alma mater es la UBA, se graduó como diseñadora de imagen y sonido. Estudió Cine Documental en la UBA y diferentes cursos de diseño multimedial. Sus trabajos giraron por festivales de todo el mundo, incluyendo Berlinale, Ottawa International Animation Festival y los Premios Quirino. Actualmente, está desarrollando un cortometraje animado, una serie animada y proyectos que involucran nuevas tecnologías, VR y videojuegos. Bárbara es la directora y fundadora del Bit Bang Festival de Animación, Videojuegos y Arte Digital que se desarrolla en Buenos Aires, desde el 2015.
