Un grupo de mujeres y hombres que sufrieron abusos sexuales durante su infancia narran en primera persona sus historias de lucha. En tiempos de movimientos como el #MeToo, sus voces se presentan como herramientas tanto para la visibilización de la problemática, como de apoyo a otras personas.
A group of women and men who suffered sexual abuse during their childhood sits raise their voice and narrate in first person their personal struggle stories. In times of movements such as #MeToo, their voices are tools both for the visibility of the problem, such as the support of other people.

Un documental que aborda la problemática del abuso sexual en la infancia. Un tema tabú presentado a través de la palabra de hombres y mujeres, hoy activistas, quienes relatan sus propias experiencias y la forma en que pudieron salir adelante y convertirse en activistas comprometidos tanto en la visibilización, como en ayudar a otras personas. En tiempos en que el paradigma acerca del abuso sexual está cambiando, ellos encuentran la forma de alzar la voz y romper el silencio que les fue impuesto.
A documentary about child sexual abuse. A taboo subject presented through the voice of a group of men and women, who speak about their own experiences and tell the way they were able to get ahead and become activists committed both in the visibility of the theme and in helping other people. In times that the paradigm about sexual abuse is changing, they find a way to raise their voices and break the silence which was imposed on them.

Directora (Enerc) y diseñadora gráfica. Realizó los cortometrajes: “Dice que no sabe” (2009), “Le quiero y espero” (2009) y “Aún despierta” (2010), seleccionados en más de 20 festivales internacionales. Recibió de La Mujer y el Cine el premio “Violencia contra la mujer”. “Le quiero y espero“ fue elegido entre los 100 mejores cortometrajes del año por la revista Fotogramas. “La voz propia” se estrena en 2019. Se encuentra trabajando en su siguiente documental, llamado «Los cuerpos públicos».
Director and graphic designer. She made the short films: «She says she does not know» (2009), «I love her and I wait for her» (2009) and «Still awake» (2010), selected in more than 20 international festivals. She received the prize «Violence against women» from La Mujer y el Cine. «»I love her and I wait for her» was chosen among the 100 best short films of the year by the magazine Fotogramas. «The Unsilenced Voice» premieres in 2019. She is working on his next documentary, called «Public Bodies».
– Director’s Statement / Declaraciones del Director:
La voz propia es un documental que hice recopilando la palabra de hombres y mujeres que sufrieron abusos sexuales en algún momento de su infancia. Un tema tabú, incómodo, que cuando empezamos a pensarlo ni siquiera se había iniciado el movimiento del #MeToo, que logró poner en la agenda pública la cuestión del abuso. La mayoría de sus historias son ejemplos de lucha, en general solitaria y tenaz, frente a un sistema que en la mayoría de los casos se mantiene esquivo y repleto de prejuicios. Todas sus historias dan cuenta de un camino repleto de injusticias, empezando por la imposibilidad de hablar y contar lo que les había pasado, como lo que les sucedió a la hora de querer denunciar, encontrándose con que sus causas habían prescripto en la mayoría de los casos, debido a la cantidad del tiempo pasado, o directamente con que sus abusadores fueran absueltos, por un Poder Judicial que aún hoy no encuentra la forma de poder reparar a las víctimas. Me parece una película necesaria, siendo que por día se detectan cinco nuevos casos de niños o niñas que son abusados sexualmente sólo en Argentina, mientras que al mismo tiempo es el delito que menos se denuncia.
“The unsilenced voice” is a documentary made collecting the voices of men and women who suffered sexual abuses at any moment of their childhood. A taboo subject, uncomfortable, that when we started thinking about it, the #MeToo movement had not even started, which finally managed to put the issue of sexual abuse on the public agenda. Most of their stories are examples of struggle, generally solitary and tenacious, against a system that in most cases remains elusive and full of prejudices. All their stories reveal a path full of injustice, starting with the impossibility of speaking and telling what had happened to them, as what happened to them when they wanted to denounce, finding that their cases had been prescribed in most of the cases, due to the time elapsed, or directly with their abusers being acquitted, by a Judicial System that still cannot find a way to repair the victims. I think it is a necessary film since five new cases of children who are sexually abused only in Argentina are detected per day, while at the same time it is the crime that is the least reported.
