In an arid and remote place, a man, his wife, and their laborer lead a monotonous life. When an unexpected event breaks that routine, the cruelty of the patriarch will manifest itself without limits.
En un lugar árido y remoto, un hombre, su mujer y su peón llevan una vida monótona. Cuando un acontecimiento inesperado quiebra esa rutina la crueldad del patriarca se manifestará sin límites.

KRIS NIKLISON
Artist with an international career, awarded as a filmmaker, theater director, screenwriter, playwright, cinematographer, choreographer and actress. She lived in Amsterdam, Hamburg, São Paulo and Buenos Aires. She was a pioneer of physical theater in the Netherlands, where she founded the Kris Niklison Theater Company, with which she traveled to more than 20 countries on 4 continents. She worked with Peter Greenaway, Dario Fo, The Dutch National Ballet Academy and was leading actress at Cirque du Soleil. She wrote, directed, photographed, edited and produced the award-winning feature films Diletante (in co-production with Lita Stantic), Vergel (Argentina-Brazil co-production) and the short, Perros(Argentina-Brazil co-production). She is currently working on her third feature film, El Barquero, winner of the support of Ibermedia.
Artista de trayectoria internacional, premiada como cineasta, directora teatral, guionista, dramaturga, directora de fotografía, coreógrafa y actriz. Vivió en Amsterdam, Hamburgo, São Paulo y Buenos Aires. Fue pionera del teatro físico en Holanda, país en el que fundó la Kris Niklison Theatre Company, compañía con la cual viajó a más de 20 países de 4 continentes. Trabajó con Peter Greenaway, Dario Fo, The Dutch National Ballet Academy y fue protagonista del Cirque du Soleil. Escribió, dirigió, fotografió, editó y produjo los premiados largometrajes Diletante (en coproducción con Lita Stantic), Vergel (coproducción Argentina- Brasil) y el cortometraje Perros (coproducción Argetina-Brasil). Actualmente trabaja en su tercer largometraje, El Barquero, ganador del apoyo de Ibermedia.
- Director’s Statement / Declaraciones del Director:
I imagined PERROS 15 years ago, in Cuba. It was an idea with a certain social grip, but extreme. I tried to forget her. Time, however, was revealing that what seemed like a fantastic idea, was rather a crude and literal chronicle of veiled reality. It was thus that I found myself obliged to film it and I ended up experiencing, in the drought of the Sertão Bahiano in Brazil, together with a group of heroes who accompanied me, all the harshness that both the hyperrealism and the surrealism of the film summon.
Imaginé PERROS hace 15 años, en Cuba. Se trataba de una idea con cierto asidero social pero desmesurada. Intenté olvidarla. El tiempo, sin embargo, fue revelando que aquello que parecía una idea fantástica, era más bien una crónica cruda y literal de una realidad velada. Fue así que me vi en la obligación de filmarla y acabé experimentando, en la sequía del Sertão Bahiano de Brasil, junto a un grupo de héroes que me acompañó, toda la dureza que tanto el hiperrealismo como el surrealismo del film convocan.

– Synopsis / Sinopsis:
The countryside’s silence does echo of the guilt of a family lost in time and space, the desire for revenge wakes up and goes with the rays of the sun enclosing a nightmare every day. Into the blame, the private property is a clash between the power and desire of an unpunished patriarch.
El silencio del campo hace eco de la culpa de una familia perdida en el tiempo y el espacio. El deseo de venganza despierta y se va con los rayos de sol encerrando una pesadilla diaria. En la culpa, la propiedad privada es un choque entre el poder y el deseo de un patriarca impune.

Jesus Alves was born on December 17th, 1987 in northeastern Brazil, in a city called Aracaju. There, he studied Social Communication and Publicity. In 2012 he traveled to Buenos Aires where he settled to study at the University of Cinema and the CIEVYC. He is currently developing publicity work, music video clips and his first feature film project.
Jesús Alves nació el 17 de diciembre de 1987 en el nordeste de Brasil, en una ciudad llamada Aracaju. Allí estudió comunicación social y publicidad. En el año 2012 viajó a Buenos Aires donde se radicó para estudiar en la Universidad de Cine y en CIEVYC. Actualmente desarrolla trabajos de publicidad, videoclips musicales y su primer proyecto largometraje.

“The Guilt” worked as an experimental project where a mixed group of audiovisual filmmakers came together to give life to a fictional story with a documentary touch. Thinking about the countryside and the perception, the intention was to tell a story where distance and intimacy are confused and make compliance a character witness of a violence’ story.
“La culpa” funcionó como un proyecto experimental donde un colectivo mixto de realizadores audiovisuales nos juntamos con el fin de darle vida a un relato ficcional con un tinte documental. Pensando en el fuera de campo y la percepción la intención fue contar una historia donde la distancia y la intimidad se confunden y tornan a la complicidad un personaje testigo de una historia de violencia.

A documentary about the alleged Nazi cure homosexuality conducted by a Danish doctor who experimented with a young homosexual in the concentration camp. After the war, he took refuge in Argentina until his death in 1965.
Un documental sobre la supuesta cura nazi de la homosexualidad llevada a cabo por un médico danés que experimentó con jóvenes homosexuales en un Campo de Concentración. Finalizada la guerra, se refugió en la Argentina hasta su muerte en 1965.
– Long Synopsis / Sinopsis Larga:
Carl Peter Vaernet was a Danish-born doctor linked to the Nazi SS and personal friend of Heinrich Himmler, who was convinced that it had a «cure» for homosexuality.
This option was perfectly framed in Nazi racial theory and the dream of the perfect Germanic race, and the specific need of reproduction and birth to develop the conquest of Europe and the world according to Hegemonic Plan and the need for soldiers who had Germany.
Himmler then offered to Vaernet experience a concentration camp (Buchenwald) to advance the discovery of the final formula to cure the deviation and degeneration of the Aryan race (Homosexuality).
By subcutaneous implantation of an artificial gland, it is injected to testosterone patient, male hormone, which supposedly was going to supply the deficiency of the homosexual.
Surgical operations in unsanitary conditions and especially in captivity are the ethical and criminal charges levied on Dr Vaernet, who fled after the war and took refuge in Argentina where he lives from 1947 to 1965, the finding of the contract is highlighted in the film Dr. Vaernet with the Ministry of health of Argentina.
The documentary was filmed in London, Berlin, Copenhagen and Buchenwald Concentration Camp, also in Buenos Aires. It is based on the book «Carl Vaernet» whose authors were interviewed for the film, along with other prominent Argentine professionals at the University of Buenos Aires and CONICET.
Carl Peter Vaernet fue un médico de origen danés ligado a las SS nazi y amigo personal de Heinrich Himmler, a quien convenció que disponía de una «cura» para la homosexualidad.
Esta opción estaba absolutamente encuadrada dentro de la teoría racial nazi y el sueño de la raza germánica perfecta, y de la concreta necesidad de reproducción y natalidad para desarrollar la conquista de Europa y el mundo de acuerdo al Plan Hegemónico y a la necesidad de soldados que tenía Alemania.
Himmler le ofreció entonces a Vaernet experimentar en un Campo de Concentración (Buchenwald) para avanzar en el hallazgo de la definitiva fórmula para curar la desviación y degeneración de la raza aria (la Homosexualidad).
Mediante la implantación subcutánea de una glándula artificial, se le inyectaba al paciente tetosterona, hormona masculina, la cual supuestamente iría a suplir la deficiencia del homosexual.
Operaciones quirúrgicas en condiciones insalubres y sobre todo en cautiverio son los cargos éticos y penales, que recaen sobre el Dr Vaernet, quien finalizada la guerra huye y se refugia en Argentina donde reside desde 1947 hasta 1965. Se destaca en el film el hallazgo del contrato del Dr. Vaernet con el Ministerio de salud de la Argentina.
El documental fue filmado en Londres, Berlín, Copenhaguen y el Campo de Concentración de Buchenwald, como también en Buenos Aires. Está basado en el libro «Carl Vaernet», cuyos autores fueron entrevistados para el film, junto a otros prominentes profesionales argentinos de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y el Conicet.

IGNACIO STEINBERG
Nacho Steinberg was born in Buenos Aires 65 years ago. He graduated from University of Buenos Aires and studied Law and Sociology majors. At this time, he started his artistic career.
While undergoing his college education he also studied Hebrew and Bible studies in Jerusalem for a year, for which he graduated with a degree in education.
His theatrical avocation allowed him to dart his first work as a professional actor in the Di Tella Insititute in 1969. From that moment on, he continued to study with high profile Theatre teachers, such as David Amitin and Juan Carlos Gene.
Later on he specialized his work in Theatrical Direction. He became Director of the Popular Jewish Theatre of the Argentinian Jewish Comunity Organization, setting up stage in Caracas Venezuela, and Boradway New York.
He participated in daytime soap operas on channels 7 and 13 in Buenos Aires and was the executive producer of the film «Inverted Cross» based on the Marcos Aguinis novel (Planeta Prize, 1970, Madrid, Spain).
His latest work amongst others has been:
«El hombre de la cabina de cristal» based on a Robert Shaw play (2009).
«Si Paris» based on an E. Samoilovich play (2010).
«La teoría de la Mariposa» baed on an E. Grilli play (2011).
«Prohibido suicidarse en primavera» based on an Alejandro Casona (2012-2013).
«Ningun tren llega a las trece» based on a Juan Perez Carmona (2013).
«La pelota se mancha» based on an Eduardo Grilli (2014).
Before directing «The Pink Triangle and the Nazi Cure for Homosexuality» he participated as an actor in the «El Amigo Alemán» film by Jeaninne Merapfel.
Nacho Steinberg nació en Buenos Aires hace 65 años, cursó en la Universidad de Buenos Aires las Carreras de Abogacía y Sociología al mismo tiempo que comenzaba su formación artística.
Paralelamente cursó estudios de hebreo Historia y Biblia en Jerusalén durante un año para graduarse como Profesor en esas materias.
Su vocación teatral le permitió realizar su primer trabajo como actor Profesional en el mítico Instituto Di Tella en el año 1969.
A partir de ese momento intensificó su formación con importantes Docentes del Teatro Argentino como David Amitin y Juan Carlos Gené.
Se especializa en Dirección Teatral, llegando a ser el Director del Teatro Popular Judío (AMIA) y a realizar puestas en Caracas, Broadway y Nueva York.
Tiene participaciones en telenovelas en los canales 7 y 13 de Buenos Aires y realiza como actor y Productor ejecutivo el film «La Cruz Invertida» basada en la obra literaria de Marcos Aguinis (PREMIO PLANETA 1970, ESPAÑA).
Sus últimos trabajos en la puesta en escena y dirección en teatros de la Calle Corrientes fueron:
«El hombre de la cabina de cristal» de Robert Shaw (2009).
«Si Paris» de E. Samoilovich (2010).
«La teoría de la Mariposa» de E. Grilli (2011).

ESTEBAN JASPER
Esteban Jasper was born in Buenos Aires in 1984. He made Alia with his family and lived in Israel, Ba Haretz, until his was 6, when they decided to return to Argentina. Bounded with an intergenerational cinephile family, grandfather, father and brother. He works in the media since his 18.

Our work aims to reveal a hidden and saved history report over the aberrations of Nazism, against a minority (homosexual) who was persecuted and decimated, but after a while it was recognized as such by the German Government recently in 2002.
In a great irony Denmark and Argentina, beginning and end of the life of this sinister doctor, were the first countries that recognized in their continent the right to equal marriage for gay people.
Nuestro trabajo se propone revelar una historia oculta y guardada, denunciar una más de las aberraciones del nazismo, en contra de una minoría (la homosexual) que fue perseguida y diezmada, pero que después de mucho tiempo fue reconocida como tal por el Gobierno alemán recién en el año 2002.
Como una gran ironía Dinamarca y Argentina, principio y fin de la vida de este médico siniestro, fueron los países que primero reconocieron en sus continentes el derecho al matrimonio igualitario para la población gay.
