“Un finde” could be defined as the visual description of ‘ghosting’ someone. This short film reminds us that ‘virtual’ is not an antonym for ‘real’.

LUDMILA KREICHMAN
Argentina
Ludmila Kreichman was born in Buenos Aires in 1989. She is a sworn English<>Spanish translator and a photographer. In addition, she also took 5 years’ worth of acting lessons. This is the first short she has directed. She also wrote the script and starred in it. Nowadays she is living between Buenos Aires and NYC, where she works managing The Inside Out Project, a platform for photographic projects created by the French artist JR.
Ludmila Kreichman nació en Buenos Aires, en 1989. Es traductora pública de inglés (UBA) y fotógrafa. Además, estudió actuación durante 5 años. Este es el primer corto que dirige. Además escribió el guión y lo protagonizó. Actualmente vive entre Buenos Aires y Nueva York donde trabaja manejando The Inside Out Project, una plataforma de proyectos fotográficos creada por el artista francés JR.
- Director Statement / Declaraciones del Director:
“One weekend” was conceived in order to provide a real-life experience with an alternative, fictional ending. I believe that cinema allows us to create not only worlds but also entire universes that we can modify as we please and I decided to make use of that and transform a personal experience that I had and give it a different ending.
“Un finde” fue concebido con la idea de darle una vuelta de tuerca a algo que pasó en la realidad pero no terminó de la manera de la que me hubiera gustado. Creo que el cine nos permite crear no solo mundos sino universos enteros que podemos manejar a nuestro antojo y decidí hacer uso de eso para transformar una experiencia personal y darle un final distinto al que tuvo.
