La relación de dos chicas jóvenes en un instante de búsqueda personal y fuga de su propio universo familiar hostil.
– Synopsis / Sinopsis:
Ines and Roma roam the rooftops and streets of the city, they dream up their own universe, they make and unmake themselves through games and projects that never prosper.
Ines and Roma run away and it’s within their own symbiosis where they feel most confused. They search without knowing what they’re looking for, finding themselves on the other end. Garcia joins them on this uneven wander, with the sole intention of being freed.
Ines y Roma transitan por los techos y calles de la ciudad, inventan su propio universo, se arman y desarman en juegos y proyectos que nunca devienen. Ines y Roma se escapan y en su simbiosis se confunden. Buscan sin saber qué están buscando y finalmente se encuentran. García las acompaña en este deambular inconstante con el único deseo de ser liberado.
– Director´s Biography / Biografía del Director:
MARÍA BOUGHEN
She was born in Buenos Aires in 1985. She studied Image and Sound Design at the UBA and directed the documentary short Puertas adentro (2009), along with a number of music videos. She was part of the photography and camera department in many shorts, as well as the feature Sin retorno. Since 2010, she makes projection set designs for plays. Free Garcia is her first feature.
Maria Boughen nació en Buenos Aires en 1985. Estudió diseño de imagen y sonido en la UBA, y dirigió el corto documental Puertas adentro (2009), además de varios videoclips. Participó en el área de fotografía y cámara en numerosos cortos, así como en el largometraje Sin retorno. Desde el 2010, trabaja en diseño escenográfico de proyección para obras de teatro. Liberen a García es su ópera prima.
