Una joven que escapa herida por el bosque se refugia en la casa de un cazador que esconde un oscuro secreto en su sótano.

– Short Synopsis / Sinopsis Corta:

A young woman runs through the woods, injured in the leg by an animal bite. She finds a house in which a Hunter lives and takes refuge in it. The young Woman will discover that under the house the Hunter keeps a creature captive. While the Hunter tries to establish a relationship with the Woman, she is very interested in the creature, so much so that she will begin to know its dark side.

Una Joven corre por el bosque herida de una pierna por la mordida de un animal. Encuentra una casa en la que vive un Cazador y se refugia en ella. La Joven descubrirá que bajo la casa el Cazador mantiene cautiva a una criatura. Mientras el Cazador intenta entablar relación con la Joven, ésta se ve muy interesada en la criatura, tanto que comenzará a conocer su lado oscuro.

MIGUEL VÁZQUEZ
He studied Cinema at UBA (University of Buenos Aires) where he met Alfonso Vazquez, a partner with whom they would found CODA FILMS. The production company was initially oriented to the production of music videos, an area in which it is mostly carried out to this day, working for artists of all genders and record genres such as Sony Music Argentina. At the same time, he worked for music videos, commercials and film production, working as an assistant director, a role he usually occupies as a freelance worker. "Jauría" was a script written during the university period that was later carried out, being the first fiction made by CODA FILMS, marking a new orientation for the producer, which aims to dedicate their efforts to telling stories in the future.
 
Estudió diseño de Imagen y Sonido en la UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires) donde conoció a Alfonso Vázquez, compañero con el que fundarían CODA FILMS. La productora en un inicio estuvo orientada a la realización de videos musicales, rubro en el que se desarrolla mayormente hasta el día de hoy, trabajando para artistas de diversos géneros musicales y discográficas como Sony Music Argentina. A la vez trabajó para diversas productoras de videoclips, publicidad y cine ejerciendo como asistente de dirección, rol que ocupa habitualmente como trabajador independiente. "Jauría" fue un guión escrito durante el período universitario que más tarde fue llevado a la realización, siendo la primera ficción realizada por CODA FILMS, marcando una nueva orientación para la productora, que apunta en un futuro dedicar sus esfuerzos a contar historias.

– Director’s Statement / Declaraciones del Director:

Jauría arises as a reinterpretation of Biblical Genesis, with the intention of rewriting the story that structures our western culture. Our «Eva» is a lost character, without a name, who falls thrown into a world where God dominates nature in a fetishistic way. Man is but a mere tool that holds chaos captive without question. The short film emerges as the initial kick to bring the story to the feature film. We try to make it reflect the aesthetics, the climate and the environment that we would like to generate in a piece where we can further develop the characters and the conflict from the symbolic. However, the short film has its own autonomy, and they aim to raise more doubts than answers, seasoned with an embrace of discomfort.

Jauría surge como una reinterpretación del Génesis bíblico, con la intención de reescribir la historia que estructura nuestra cultura occidental. Nuestra “Eva” es un personaje perdido, sin nombre, que cae arrojada a un mundo donde el Dios domina la naturaleza de forma fetichista. El hombre no es más que una mera herramienta que mantiene al caos cautivo sin cuestionarlo. El corto surge como el puntapié inicial para llevar el relato al largometraje. Intentamos lograr que en él se vea reflejada la estética, el clima y el ambiente que nos gustaría generar en una pieza donde podamos desarrollar mas los personajes y el conflicto desde lo simbólico. No obstante el corto tiene su propia autonomía, y tiene como objetivo plantear más dudas que respuestas, condimentadas con una abrasadora incomodidad.
