Un hombre que vende muebles abandonados en su galpón es sorprendido por una joven pareja que se interesa por una cama y una tv. El hombre los invita con un poco de whisky, la chica baila entre los muebles, el chico se queda dormido. Y se destruye todo alrededor de ellos, pero a sus deseos no consiguen destruirlos.

A man sells abandoned furniture in his warehouse, there’s no activity until monotony is disrupted when a couple comes by interested in a bed and a TV. The man offers them some whisky, they drink and negotiate the prices. But the man can´t take his eyes off the girl that dances among the furniture while the boy falls asleep. And so the couple gets separated. Everything around them gets destroyed except for their desires.
Un hombre vende muebles abandonados en su galpón, la actividad es nula hasta que la monotonía se quiebra cuando una pareja se interesa por una cama y una tv. El hombre les convida un poco de whisky, mientras beben negocian los precios. La chica baila entre los muebles y el chico se queda dormido. Entonces la pareja se parte, se corta. Se destruye todo alrededor de ellos pero a sus deseos no consiguen destruirlos.

A man sells abandoned, unused furniture in his warehouse, there’s practically no activity until monotony is disrupted when a couple comes by interested in a bed and a TV set. The man offers them some whisky. The boy’s mobile phone rings, the girl realizes that her boyfriend is hiding something from her. The man sips his drink while he observes them and negotiates the prices. But he cannot take his eyes off the girl that dances among the furniture while the boy falls asleep. And so the couple gets separated, split. Everything around them gets destroyed, except for their desires.
Un hombre vende muebles abandonados y en desuso en su galpón, la actividad es prácticamente nula hasta que la monotonía se quiebra cuando una pareja se interesa por una cama y una televisión. El hombre les convida un poco de whisky. El celular del chico suena, la chica percibe que su novio le oculta algo. El hombre mientras bebe los observa y negocia los precios. Aunque no puede quitar los ojos de encima de ella que baila entre los muebles mientras el chico se queda dormido. Entonces la pareja se parte, se corta. Se destruye todo alrededor de ellos pero a sus deseos no consiguen destruirlos.

Bordering the city limits, a man sells abandoned, unused furniture that, regardless of its classification or antiquity, remains in his warehouse unclaimed. There’s practically no activity whatsoever, but this is of no importance to him because he sustains his life on repetition, on the consistency of his job and the diligence with which he carries it out. Accompanied by his cat, he spends his days there, without much to do, locked in, resisting. Until monotony is disrupted when a couple comes by interested in a bed and a TV set. The man offers them some whisky. The boy’s mobile phone rings, he gets nervous, he doesn’t want to answer it. The girl realizes that her boyfriend is hiding something from her. The man sips his drink while he observes them and negotiates the prices. But he cannot take his eyes off the girl who’s excited by his adult gaze. The boy checks the TV over and over again. The girl selects a record and dances among the furniture. Surrounded by the furniture, the boy falls asleep. And so the couple gets separated, split. Everything around them gets destroyed, except for their desires.
Bordeando el límite de la ciudad, un hombre vende muebles abandonados y en desuso que, independientes a su clasificación o antigüedad, permanecen en su galpón sin que alguien los reclame. La actividad es prácticamente nula pero esto no le importa porque él sustenta su vida en base a la repetición, la constancia de su trabajo y la diligencia con que lo desempeña. Acompañado de su gato pasa los días en ese lugar, sin mucho qué hacer, encerrado, resistiendo. Hasta que la monotonía se quiebra cuando una pareja se interesa por una cama y una televisión. El hombre les convida un poco de whisky. El celular del chico suena, se pone nervioso, no quiere atender. La chica percibe que su novio le oculta algo. El hombre mientras bebe los observa y negocia los precios. Aunque no puede quitar los ojos de encima de ella quien se enciende por su mirada adulta. El chico prueba insistentemente la televisión. La chica elije un disco de pasta y baila entre los muebles. Entre los muebles el chico se queda dormido. Entonces la pareja se parte, se corta. Se destruye todo alrededor de ellos pero a sus deseos no consiguen destruirlos.

Brenda Urlacher (1982) lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She graduated from the Centro de Investigación y Experimentación en Video y Cine (CIEVYC). She took Set Design studies at the Saulo Benavente Art School. She also established her screenwriting with various writers such as Robert McKee. She took professional theater training with Argentinean renowned playwrights and she participated as an actress in theater and cinema. For years, she worked as a 2nd Assistant Director and Casting Assistant for features produced locally and international. As a director, she made several short films that obtained recognition. She’s currently working as a TV, music video and advertising Director. At now, she also works on her first feature film.
Brenda Urlacher (1982, Buenos Aires, Argentina) es egresada del Centro de Investigación y Experimentación en Video y Cine CIEVYC. Estudió Diseño Escénico en la escuela de Arte Saulo Benavente. También se desarrolló en el campo de la escritura con diversos guionistas como Robert McKee y entrenó como actriz con maestros del teatro argentino como Cristina Banegas, Julio Chávez entre otros. Participó como actriz en teatro y cine. Durante años, trabajó en películas de producción nacional e internacional. Dirigió tv, video clips, publicidad y cortometrajes que obtuvieron el reconocimiento por su realización. Actualmente, se desempeña como Realizadora Audiovisual freelance mientras desarrolla su primera película de largometraje.
