ACMÉ aborda las historias de dos jóvenes que habitan la Patagonia Argentina y viven con VIH.
- Synopsis / Sinopsis:
A documentary short film that brings the viewer closer to the lives of two people who live in Argentine Patagonia and what their life is like there with HIV, in the privacy of their characters with the socio-cultural characteristics and limitations of the region. Acmé stresses the calm daily life of the characters, their routine, their profession, and their landscapes with the reflective voice of their thoughts and their lived experiences around the disease.
Cortometraje documental que acerca al espectador a la vida de dos personas que habitan en la Patagonia Argentina y cómo es su vida con VIH, en la intimidad de sus personajes con las características socio-culturales y limitaciones propias de la región. Acmé pone en tensión la calma cotidianidad de los personajes, su rutina, su profesión, sus paisajes con la voz reflexiva de sus pensamientos y sus experiencias vividas en torno a la enfermedad.
- Director´s Biography / Biografía del Director:
AGUSTÍN MONTANGIE
Graduated from the Cinema career (ENERC, 2019). In 2018 he was selected by the FNA whit «Acmé». He also received the FNA training scholarship for the Film Experimentation Program (2021), and Managing the Future (2022).
Egresado de la carrera de Cine (ENERC, 2019). En 2018 fue seleccionado por el Fondo Nacional de las Artes con «Acmé». Recibió también la Beca de Formación del FNA para el Programa de Experimentación en torno al cine (2021), y Gestionar Futuro (2022).
- Director’s Statement / Declaraciones de la Directora:
When I was eighteen years old, one day I left a doctor’s office knowing that that day, although I didn’t know how my life was going to change forever. ACMÉ brings personal but shared experiences, born from the immediate need to talk about something we live with on a daily basis, but that is not talked about. ACMÉ is a new look that seeks to uproot false beliefs and, above all, naturalize dialogue, focusing on a subject that is still little treated in society.
A mis dieciocho años un día salí de un consultorio sabiendo que ese día, aunque no sabía de qué manera, mi vida iba a cambiar para siempre. ACMÉ trae vivencias personales pero compartidas, nace de la inmediata necesidad de hablar de algo con lo que convivimos a diario, pero que no se habla. ACMÉ es una nueva mirada que busca desarraigar falsas creencias y sobre todo naturalizar el diálogo poniendo foco en una temática aún poco tratada en la sociedad.
