- Short Synopsis / Sinopsis Corta:
Christmas is coming and FABIAN, owner of a toy store, hires a man dressed as Santa Claus but then is forced to fire him: scares away customers because of his dirty appearance. Fabian feels persecuted by this man. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus appears and Fabian receives a surprise.
Se acerca navidad y FABIAN, dueño de una juguetería, contrata a un hombre disfrazado de Papá Noel pero luego se ve obligado a echarlo: espanta a los clientes por su aspecto sucio. Fabian se siente perseguido por este hombre. En la noche de Navidad, Papá Noel aparece y Fabian se lleva una sorpresa.
- Synopsis / Sinopsis:
Christmas is coming and the brothers Fabian and Manuel hope to reach record sales in their toy store. But there is a problem: Noel, the man they have hired to play the role of Santa Claus, has a disgusting appearance and scares away the customers. Fabian fires him and Noel reacts aggressively. While Fabian feels persecuted by Noel, his little son Daniel is about to discover the truth about Santa Claus. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus shows up and they both get a surprise.
Se acerca navidad y los hermanos Fabián y Manuel esperan alcanzar el record de ventas en su juguetería. Sin embargo, hay un problema: Noel, el hombre que contrataron para hacer de papá Noel tiene un aspecto desagradable y espanta a los clientes. Fabián lo echa y Noel reacciona de manera agresiva. Mientras Fabián se siente perseguido por Noel, su pequeño hijo Daniel está a punto de descubrir la verdad sobre Papá Noel. En la noche de Navidad, Papá Noel aparece y los dos se llevan una sorpresa.

SOFÍA SZELSKE
Screenwriter and creator of projects such as Warner Media’s series NATURALEZA MUERTA, winner of the INCAA Short Series Contest and selected in pitching sessions at NATPE Miami and MipTV (Cannes, France). She write the script EL PATO DE LA BODA (The Wedding Duck), selected in the INCAA Screenplay Contest 2018. In 2019 she co-founded Utópica Media, an agency focused on fiction that achieves agreements with important companies such as Warner Media, Banijay Iberia, among others.
Guionista y creadora de proyectos como la serie de Warner Media “Naturaleza Muerta” ganadora del Concurso de Series Cortas del INCAA y seleccionada en sesiones de pitching en NATPE Miami y MipTV (Cannes, Francia). Escribe el guión “El Pato de la Boda” seleccionado en el Concurso de Guión del INCAA 2018. En 2019 co-funda Utópica Media, agencia enfocada en la ficción que logra acuerdos con importantes empresas como Warner Media, Banijay Iberia, entre otros.

THE CHRISTMAS HOUR is a dark Christmas story that plays with the limits of the real and the fantastic. The story begins in a mundane mood to introduce in a subtle way the fantastic element as a question: What if this man who is being hired is the real Santa Claus? The character of Noel is both menacing, but there is also something magical about him and a question arises: Who is the real Santa Claus? There are two points of view that are debated around this figure. On the one hand, Fabian’s distrust and paranoia, and on the other, Daniel’s curiosity and illusion. Both are waiting for the arrival of this mythical character on Christmas Eve, but for very different reasons.
DESPUÉS DE LAS 12 es una oscura historia de Navidad que juega con los límites de lo real y lo fantástico. La historia inicia en un clima mundano para hacer entrar de manera sutil el elemento fantástico como una pregunta: ¿Qué pasa si este hombre al que están echando es el verdadero Papá Noel? El personaje de Noel es a la vez amenazador, pero también tiene algo de mágico y surge una incógnita que es la misma que tiene Daniel, el niño que se pregunta: ¿Quién es el verdadero Papá Noel? Hay dos puntos de vista que se debaten en torno a esta figura. Por un lado, la desconfianza y paranoia de Fabián, y por otro, la curiosidad e ilusión de Daniel. Los dos esperan la llegada de este mítico personaje, la noche de navidad, pero por motivos muy distintos.
