Leon and Anna are Russians but they live in Argentina; in a few days she’s going back to Russia with her mother, tonight is the farewell party and she tries to convince Leon to stay together against the odds.
En plena celebración de despedida, León y Anna tienen su última noche juntos antes de que ella parta hacia Rusia para no volver.
– Short Synopsis / Sinopsis Corta:
Leon and Anna, both russians who live in Buenos Aires, have their last night together during the farewell party before she goes back to Russia. She will travel with her mother while he will remain in Argentina. Amid the celebration organized by people from their community, Anna begs him to do everything possible to stop this trip; her life is in Argentina together with him. Russia has no interest to her. Leon struggles around what would be best for her and finally decides to sign the document and allow his daughter to go away.
León y Anna tienen su última noche juntos en plena celebración por la partida de la chica a Rusia. Ella se irá junto a madre y él permanecerá en Buenos Aires. Anna le pide a León que haga hasta lo imposible para detener ese viaje; su vida está ahí. León se debate entre qué es lo mejor para ella y finalmente decide firmar el documento para que le permita partir.
Leon et Anna tous les deux russes habitant à Buenos Aires, passent leur dernière nuit ensemble avant qu’elle ne rentre en Russie. Anna le prie de faire tout son possible pour arrêter ce voyage; sa vie est en Argentine avec lui. Leon a du mal à décider ce qui serait le mieux pour elle et décide finalement de signer le document autorisant sa fille à partir.

Leon and Anna, both russians who live in Buenos Aires, have their last night together during the farewell party before she goes back to Russia. She will travel with her mother while he will remain in Argentina. Amid the celebration organized by people from their community, Anna asks his father not to allow her to leave the country. Anna begs him to do everything possible to stop this trip; her life is in Argentina together with him. Russia has no interest to her. Leon asks himself about what to do to help her daughter and how to take a decision. Leon struggles around what would be best for the girl and finally decides to sign the document to allow her mother to go with her.
León y Anna tienen su última noche juntos en plena celebración por la partida de la chica. Ella se irá a vivir a Rusia, de donde es la madre y también de donde es León, pero él permanecerá en Buenos Aires. En medio del festejo que realiza la gente de la comunidad, Anna le pide a su padre que no permita ella se vaya del país. Anna lo insta a que él haga hasta lo imposible para detener ese viaje; su vida está ahí, junto a él. Rusia no tiene ningún interés para ella. León se debate respecto a qué hacer para ayudar a su hija y toma una decisión. Al día siguiente, y bajo la mirada dolida de Anna, León firma el documento que le permite a su hija abandonar el país junto a su madre.

MARA PESCIO
Her script “That Weekend” was selected by SGAE to a Co-Production Forum at Ventana Sur, by Guanajuato International Film Festival, the Official Competition of the Oaxaca FilmFest, Casa de America Residence organized by Ibermedia and Carolina Foundation and in the Oaxaca Scriptwriting Lab organized by Sundance Institute and Ibermedia Foundation. She´s script doctor as well as screenwriter. She works with the filmmakers: Diego Lerman, Jorge Gaggero, Paula Hernandez, Juan Minujin, Pablo Fendrik and Lucía Cedrón. She was consultant in 2015 ViñaLab, Chile. She recently co-directed the short film “Christmas”, its premiere was October 2015 organized by DAC. Its participate at Berlinale Short Film Cloud 2015.
Su guión “Ese Fin de Semana” fue seleccionado por la SGAE para el Foro de Coproducción de Ventana Sur, por el Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato, en la Competencia Oficial de Oaxaca FilmFest, en la Residencia de Casa de América organizada por el Programa Ibermedia y la Fundación Carolina y en el Laboratorio de Guión de Oaxaca organizado por el Instituto Sundance e Ibermedia. Como asesora o guionista, trabajó con los directores: Diego Lerman, Jorge Gaggero, Paula Hernandez, Juan Minujin, Pablo Fendrik y Lucía Cedrón. Fue también consultora en el ViñaLab 2015. Recientemente co dirigió el cortometraje “Navidad” que se estrenó en Octubre del 2015 en el Cultural San Martín organizado por la DAC y participó de la Berlinale Short Film Cloud 2015.
