Two young boys find themselves tormented by constant emotional changes and instant travels, while both are trying to communicate with whoever feels on their behalf.
Dos jóvenes se encuentran atormentados por constantes cambios emocionales y viajes instantáneos, ambos intentan comunicarse con aquello que siente por ellos.
– Synopsis / Sinopsis:
Far, a destroyed castle is home to two young men. One of them builds and tries to improve that habitat; while the other waits for something to happen. They talk about «her» as someone they know, as the owner of their present and the events occurring to them. Mental fatigue leads to physical confrontation, but this does not break them, it bring them together. Finally, we see her, we don’t know how she is, or feels or felt, but we know that the relationship with her boyfriend has ended; and that everything will continue to change.
Lejos, un castillo destruido es hogar de dos jóvenes. Uno construye y trata de mejorar ese hábitat; mientras que el otro está a merced de todo lo que suceda. Hablan de “ella” como alguien a quien conocen, como la dueña de su presente, de lo que pasará entre ellos. El cansancio mental los lleva al enfrentamiento físico, pero esto no los separa, los acerca. Y la vemos a ella, no sabemos cómo está, qué sintió, qué siente, pero sí sabemos que la relación con su pareja terminó; y que todo va a seguir cambiando.

MANUEL GIMÉNEZ
Manuel Gimenez is an audiovisual producer born in the city of Mar del Plata. Founder of production company Rec.It, he began his career as a photographer and cinematographer on independent film projects. At age 17, he directed his first short film «Suffer»: a fiction dealing with goes through the head of a teenager. At age 18 he directed his second short film «Asleep», a drama which portrays the life of a young man who only finds happiness in dreaming about a girl he has never seen in real life. He currently in charge of the content developed by his production company and pre producing his fourth short film prior to writing his first feature film.
Manuel Giménez es un realizador audiovisual nacido en la ciudad de Mar del Plata. Fundador de la productora Rec.It, comenzó su carrera como fotógrafo y director de fotografía en proyectos de cine independiente. A los 17 años dirigió su primer cortometraje “Adolecer”, una ficción en la cual hace introspección sobre lo que sucede por la cabeza de un adolecente. A los 18 años continuó haciendo cine con su segundo cortometraje “Adormecido”, un drama donde retrata la vida de un joven que solo encuentra felicidad cuando sueña con una mujer a la que jamás vio en la vida real. En la actualidad dirige el contenido desarrollado por su productora y pre produce su cuarto cortometraje previo a la escritura de su primer largometraje.

– Director Statement / Declaraciones del Director:
This short film was created after the need to transmit the behavior of emotions during a given time. How emotions work inside our heads, how they change and how they make us feel. The attitudes of the main characters, their discussions, the changes of location; all of these things happen because of the girl’s feelings, the world in which this woman suffers a breakup.
There is not a first reading of the film that one can easily denote, the audience is not given many tools along the viewing process to build an interpretation of the film. The idea is to give the audience an experience to make them feel comfortable with uncertainty. That’s why much of the film is played by two antagonist characters dealing with an unclear, but existing, conflict.
Este cortometraje nace bajo la necesidad de transmitir el comportamiento de las emociones durante un momento determinado. Cómo las emociones funcionan dentro de nuestra cabeza, cómo cambian y de qué manera nos hacen sentir. Las actitudes de los dos personajes principales, sus discusiones, los cambios de locación; todas estas condicen con las sensaciones de la chica que se ve al final, ese mundo en el que esta mujer se siente sola.
No hay una primera interpretación del cortometraje que se denote fácilmente, el espectador no recibe herramientas a lo largo del visionado para poder armar una interpretación a simple vista. La idea del cortometraje es que el espectador pueda vivir una experiencia, pueda estar cómodo en la incertidumbre. Es por eso que gran parte del film está protagonizado por dos personajes antagonistas que llevan adelante un conflicto poco claro, pero que existe.
