On the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing, we took the moon to tell our story.

– Synopsis / Sinopsis:
On the Moon, women have fun while they wait to be illuminated by the sun. They play volleyball with Neil Armstrong’s astronaut helmet, they masturbate in the darkness of the cosmos, and constellations are tattooed on their backs. Sunlight begins to seep and the white surface lights up increasingly. Women come together and enjoy this solar bath. A beam of light shines on the bed where a girl sleeps, on Earth. The light disturbs her dreams; the unveiled girl looks through the window and discovers the full moon shining on her head.
En la Luna, mujeres se divierten mientras esperan ser iluminadas nuevamente por el sol. Juegan al vóley con el casco astronauta de Neil Armstrong, se masturban en la oscuridad del cosmos, se tatúan constelaciones en sus espaldas. La luz solar comienza a filtrarse y la superficie blanca se ilumina de modo creciente. Las mujeres se agrupan y disfrutan de este baño solar. Un haz de luz resplandece sobre la cama donde duerme una chica, en la Tierra. La luz perturba sus sueños, la joven desvelada se acerca a la ventana y descubre a la luna llena brillando sobre su cabeza.
– Director´s Biography / Biografía del Director:
BÁRBARA CERRO
Bárbara is an Argentinian independent filmmaker and an animation director, raised and based in Buenos Aires. Her alma mater is UBA, she graduated as an Image and Sound Designer. She studied Directing at Universidad del Cine and Documentary Filmmaking at UBA, in Buenos Aires. She co-directed the series ‘Gorda’, ‘Los Inadaptables’, and directed ‘Bit Bang Tv’, ‘Artemis’ and advertising at different studios. Bárbara was also part of several audiovisual projects in the directing, animation and color grading departments. Currently, she is developing an animated short film, ‘Todos los futuros’, and an animated show. Bárbara is the director and founder of the Bit Bang Animation, Video Games and Digital Art Festival in Buenos Aires. She has also been the artistic director and programmer in different festivals around the world.
Bárbara es directora de cine de animación y de cine independiente. Su alma mater es la UBA, se graduó como diseñadora de imagen y sonido. Estudió Dirección en la Universidad del Cine y Cine Documental en la UBA. Co-dirigió la serie «Gorda», «Los Inadaptables», y dirigió «Bit Bang Tv», «Artemis» y publicidades para diferentes estudios. Bárbara también formó parte de varios proyectos audiovisuales en el rol de dirección, animación y gradación de color. Actualmente, está desarrollando un cortometraje animado «Todos los futuros» y un programa animado. Bárbara es la directora y fundadora del Festival de Animación, Videojuegos y Arte Digital de Bit Bang en Buenos Aires. También ha sido directora artística y programadora en diferentes festivales de todo el mundo.

The moon rules the tides, the moon lights us at night, the moon is our guide as human beings. Without the moon, we lose the reference. The cycles of the moon mark our lives, our rhythms. It is said that the moon is connected with the woman’s cycles. Like the cycles of the moon and planets, menstruation represents the regeneration of life. The moon is feminine. Artemis is the Goddess of the Moon and is the name of the mission that will take the first woman to the Moon in 2024.
La luna rige las mareas, la luna nos alumbra en las noches, la luna es nuestra guía como seres humanos. Sin la luna perdemos el referente. Los ciclos de la luna marcan nuestras vidas, nuestros ritmos. Se dice que la luna está conectada con los ciclos de la mujer. Al igual que los ciclos de la luna y las plantas, la menstruación representa la regeneración de la vida. La Luna es lo femenino. Ártemis es la Diosa de la Luna y es el nombre de la misión que transportará a la primera mujer a la Luna en 2024.
